Canrex by Orson Lee
One of his cute & awesome creations from recycled materials.
Orson Li is a man on a mission: he wants to preserve history and invest in the future through the process of recycling. But he’s doing it in an unusually green way. Li, a Hong Kong-based artist, is sharing his love for sustainability and art by creating miniature creatures made from recycled soda cans.
Li calls his designs “ori-alu,” which is a term derived from origami, the Japanese art of paper folding. But instead of using paper to create interesting artwork, Li folds old aluminum soda cans into amazing little creatures that symbolize the beauty of recycling. It took years for Li to master the art of ori-alu, but once he did he was able to design an array of interesting miniature sculptures.
